I have handled many over the years, capturing, collaring them, and watching their movements over the years. I have also handled many dead wolves that have died from many causes. I have spent many nights howling for them in the dark, and often been rewarded by their soulful calls. You may have done a good job if the population now is that big, but if you have been working with them for so many yeras dont you think a bit different?? dont you feel atached to them?? dont you feel a little love or a strong feeling about wolves?? Maybe there are other choices, you can relocate them, use non lethal mehtods, create progams to educate people about wolves, there are many groups and volunteers that would help you with that.. If Id live there I would be the first on that line.. so Please, try something else, dont kill them. You may want to read more about this if you really care about wolves. I have worked with Wisconsin wolves for over 15 years, and during my period of managing wolves, we have been able to grow the population from 32 to over 425 wolves. We have filled up most of the wild areas in northwest Wisconsin with wolves, and new packs are now establishing near farms.
