This website was created for honoring Wolves throughout history that have been slaughtered and oppressed at the hands of Humans.
Many have murdered Wolves. Not just during the War for the Wolf, which has spanned the last decade, but also in the past, during the War Against the Wolf.
In the War Against the Wolf, they were annhilated in England by the 1500s, and slaughtered by the U.S. Government and Wolfer's until the 1970s. Coaxing by U.S. Ranchers led to their annihilation in Japan as well by 1904. Wolves once again are being slaughtered in Alaska in annual Wolf culls. The USFWS murders Wolves on a regular basis in livestock issues rather than using non-lethal methods only and Predator Friendly Ranching Practices. DNRs around the United States also subscribe to this ideology. Idaho's Fish and Game wants to slaughter Wolves already since they a few months ago got state control over Wolves. And if the Wolves in the Great Lakes region are delisted, more will be murdered since non-lethal methods only and Predator Friendly Ranching Practices are not being used. There are hunting outfitters that slaughter Wolves to this very day for fun, for fur, and other reasons.
Any slaughter of Wolves is unjust, cruel and horrible. This site honors all the Wolves that have fallen and continue to be oppressed and murdered by Humans.
Two books that talk about and show the horrible suffering Wolves have endured are:
Suffering and the murder of Wolves throughout time shouldn't be forgotten. The link below shows the suffering that Wolves have gone through and continue to endure. Beware, for the contents are graphic and not for the faint of heart. We hope that through showing dark history of Wolves suffering we can pave a way for a future so no Wolf has to go through this again. So that Humans will finally live with Wolves in peace.
