| Heart of the Wolf Organization News 3/15/2010 HEART OF THE WOLF ORGANIZATION ANTI-WOLF MEDIA 3/15/2010 1) Field and Stream had an article called Predator and Prey, by Keith McCafferty, making a pariah out of Robert Millage, the notorious man who slaughtered the first gray wolf of the Idaho wolf hunt. The article spins him as a victim of environmentalists who thrashed him with expletives. Along with those who called him and made personal threats. While one has the right to be angry at his actions and upset with them, if one threatens anything truly illegal or engages in it, our cause will be seen as in the wrong. Regardless of whether it is right or not. The article of course relies on junk science to justify the hunts on wolves and the rights of those to hunt wolves for that matter. Robert Millage claims he respects wolves, and he was losing everything being that his real estate job wasn't going well and he had a failed marriage. So he decided to become in the spotlight and do something unethical like this. The slaughter of the first wolf in the Idaho hunt. He is planning to slaughter the next wolf he can find. He doesn't mind getting caught in the middle of this conflict and analyzing the matter. He has websites that show all the criticisms, or support, of the assassination. Either way, it's sad that a man who lost much resorted to destroying other's lives to make himself feel better. He himself talked about how he felt the wolves nearby were coming after him not too long after he killed the wolf. What would you do if some person barged into your house, shot your mother dead? And then you saw her, the perp, and chased them? It would be regarded as making more sense by people since it has to do with people. Field and Stream supports the hunts, and Millage. It's sad indeed. Hopefully this will end. However, you must never forget activists, to not lose your cool and give the anti-wolf people a reason to target us. The Field and Stream magazine calls us antis, well they are anti-life, the true death panels. Only through peace, wisdom, and non-hate can we succeed. Peace between humans and wolves is the only way. We must convince him that just because you lose everything in life, doesn't mean it's over for you, but at the same time you shouldn't take the lives of others in response. Educating him about how wolves form families and how the Alpha pair bonds for life is good too. The article is called 'Webb's Wolves' by Randy Zarnke. Which they hardly are. Wolves belong to nature. As do all of those who are a part of it. Human, and nature alike. In particular, Marty Webb, is focused on in this issue. A bush pilot who slaughters wolves in hunts, he has done this in service to the Alaskan government agencies and their 'wildlife' projects. He has slaughtered countless wolves over a decade, which includes pups, Marty has slain many other animal species for the past 30 years. The bodies, the blood, the gore, he has reveled in it. Marty's tactic is to watch and track wolves and their activity. This is by taking the opportunity to attack them by following them from the air, then landing and using wolf calls and then destroying wolves that approach. It is horrific. He blames us for hurting his reputation as a hunter and feels he is protecting animals from wolves. That's incorrect. Wolves protect the land and keep it maintained through keeping populations of prey under control. That is something even those who know biology can tell you.
