| Wolf-Dog News 1/28/2010 1) SWEET Colorado Pair Wolfdogs in dire need! Need homes NOW! THESE 2 BABES NEED A HOME NOW! Location: Northern Colorado. Info on these 2 precious babes…who grew up together and would LOVE to stay together. Contact: Linda Jo wolfpawmountain@gmail.com Gorgeous Yaka is a 4 year old male with a great personality, and an absolute joy! He is great with people male/female and kids. He is a very social guy and plays well with other dogs. he is fully house broken (very occasional accident) and he is OK unattended inside the house. He weighs around 100 lbs, is neutered and microchipped. he is good on a leash and loves to go for hikes but has no problem laying around and being lazy. Yaka is a very sweet dog. He is good with children, people, puppies and all dogs. Of the two, he seems to have the least wolf-like behavior. In the pictures, he is the bigger of the two. Sweet, Pretty Lola is a 3 year old female, very sweet disposition and a loving girl, who needs a lot of exercise and a big yard, well secured to burn off her endless energy. Lola is also GREAT with people, but will be aggressive with dogs that she doesn't know. That being said she almost always gets over it a wants to play. she just needs to be introduced in the right way., but she can be with larger dogs only, no smaller wuffers/animals. Lola plays too rough for smaller dogs, and will always be aggressive to them. The only dogs Lola seems submissive to are German Shepherds, which may be explained by the fact that she spent a lot of time with them as a puppy and the fact that she has German Shepherd in her. Lola is a typical wolfdog, and must be in escape proof containment…Lola has more wolf-like tendencies that Yaka does. As typical of wolfdogs, she will try to dig out of the yard, hop fences. Lola has torn out window screens ..to get out of the house, as she basically will do anything she can to get out and explore. This is remedied by not leaving her inside unattended and giving her a nice big yard to burn off energy with Yaka…running & romping around all day will tire her out!. Like any large breed…Lola needs a big yard for her daily exercise, (Romping in a large yard with Yaka all dayJ!) Lola is best not left in the house unattended…she needs a secure yard with a warm house when her owners are not home, and will be there to greet you with wags and kisses when you get home, and ready to come inside for her dinner! Lola is also trustworthy in the house, but does get in the trash if it is accessible, so we recommend a trashcan with a secure top on it. She is great on the leash and loves hiking…shes a great hiking buddy! (But she will lunge at a strange dog or animal on the trail if it appears..so she needs a hiking harness to keep her secure & safe). Lola is spayed and micro chipped. Lola is basically housebroke...but will occasionally mark or have an accident (again….best to leave her outside if not attended). Lola weighed 60 pounds at the last vet visit. She is tall, but much lankier than Lola is a very sweet dog with people and kids. I will be happy to elaborate more on these two for anyone interested in saving these babes and giving them their chance at life! I can email the adoption application, as these 2 are in urgent need of a home! Please give them their chance…thank you! *Experienced Wolfdog or Northern breed adopters needed for these 2 babes!* Contact: Linda Jo wolfpawmountain@gmail.com Mike Wagner Founder and Director of Heart of the Wolf Organization http://www.heartofthewolf.org/ Copyright 2010 Heart of the Wolf Organization 2) Texas/WHITE SHEPARD SWEET GIRL IN KILL SHELTER!!
