We need your help to get him adopted ASAP. For info on how to do that, contact: PamelaJoWolflady@yahoo.com, www.TahoeWarf.com and www.LakeTahoeWolfRescue.com Here is a pic of Shadow: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34079768@N04/4374575550/ http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4030/4374575550_254e9638db_m .jpg 2) A forest fire has caused three wolf-dogs to go on the adoption list. Help if you can. Here are their bio's. Eowen is black and white, higher mid content mixed with Malamute. She's 9 years old and very friendly. Loves other dogs and wants to play with smaller animals...but will hold back because my eldest cat constantly resented her intrusions and gave her hell. Loves kids and prefers female human companionship. Is a little shy with strangers at first, but gets over it quickly. Jax is a 5 yr old male. Beautiful red wolf markings/malamute mix. Not sure of his % but I was told it was high. He acts way too much like a dog for me to believe that. He too is shy of strangers, but is food motivated and will be your best friend for treats. WARNING: will pull your arms off during walks!!! He's very high energy and loves to go walking....but he'll be walking you! ( I've tried every anti-pull device imaginable...he ignores them all) Rubi is the 3 yr old offspring of Eowen and Jax. It was an unplanned thing and I couldn't get them fixed fast enough afterwords. She looks more like Jax, but very gray. Unlike her parents, and the rest of her litter, she is extremely people shy. She was a twin and her sister was still born. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but she has always been a little funny in the head. Neurotic if you will. The ONLY person she has ever let touch her willingly is my 5 yr old. She shows me affection in her own way, but rarely gets close enough to touch, unless her nose is in my hooha! I'm hoping someone out there with the patience of a saint will find her and show her that it feels good to be loved. She's really sweat otherwise, and not aggressive at all. I'm just afraid to try and adopt her out, so many out there would not understand.." They are just north of Austin, TX. Contact owner at samourn_makare@yahoo.com. UPDATE ON SAGE AND BUTCH: You folks should know your support of us and taking action goes along way. We were able to help spring Sage loose from the kill-shelter she was in, and now is recovering. Butch and his brethren were found by the authorities and the horrid conditions of their confinement were finally revealed. People can make a difference, despite the economic changes in the world, despite how battered nature gets by humans, despite the adversities they or others they know might face. So keep fighting the good fight people. Mike Wagner Founder and Executive Director of Heart of the Wolf Organization Copyright 2010 Heart of the Wolf Organization |
