| WOLF MEDIA NEWS 2/23/2010 Heart of the Wolf Media News 2/23/2010 1) A new article called Wolf Wars has appeared in National Geographic, having to do with the battle once again with those for wolves, and those against them. It is portrayed in an objective manner, though it does end with whether we can live with them or not truly. And how can we justify wanting nature, if we are hellbent on wiping out wolves once again? It also shows the players, and who has been involved, for better or for worse. The article includes a map of the different wolf packs in the Northern Rockies. The cover of the issue for National Geographic has a beautiful howling wolf on the cover. A howl that for many wolves right now is being silenced. In a war, for those who want peace, and those who want and wage death, out of fear and sadism. Who will win? Who will die? Only you can decide. Read this article and buy the mag. And help our organization fight for peace between humans and wolves, to end this war that has been going on since 10,000 years ago. Here is a link for the article as well. http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2010/03/wolf-wars/chadwick -text/1 The cover said Wolf Wars -- Once Protected, Now Hunted. You can see where their final stance is. Which you can see it is a good one. Nat Geo is also coming out with another station on cable soon. It's called Nat Geo Wild! And it will be on in April. No this isn't an early April Fool's Joke. Go to their site at natgeowild.com 2) New Maned Wolves are at the Denver Zoo. Although we aren't happy with the Denver Zoo since they shot to death Jorge the Jaguar years ago, and let two bears duke it out to the death, we had to cover this since it's wolf related. Not too long ago maned wolf pups were born. The footage is available at this website below. http://www.zooborns.com/zooborns/2010/02/denver-zoo-maned- wolf-pups.html Thanks to an anonymous tip for this one. Please help the wolves and wolf-dogs today, and educate people about wolves. We need this war to end. Take care folks and until next time: Mike Wagner Founder and Executive Director of Heart of the Wolf Organization http://www.heartofthewolf.org Copyright 2010 Heart of the Wolf Organization |
