The Department of Fish and Wildlife wants to be like
the Jones'. Or the state wildlife agencies of
Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, where slaughter
and disaster have already taken place.

Will wolves be brought back? Should
they be brought back since their fate would
be the same right now as every place we are
battling in?

That is what you will have to decide. We want
wolves, but the oppression must end. Special
interests shouldn't be allowed to hunt or
slaughter them. And the government agency should
use non-lethal methods to prevent livestock issues.

Unlike Defenders' failed strategy. Compensation isn't
enough. Ranchers still cry foul at a small percentage
of cattle being killed and wanting the heads of wolves.
And compensation happens even after the wolf is killed
that's involved. So it does nothing.

Here are two ways you can help:

This meeting in Washington will be ill be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday in the Guy Cole Convention Center at Carrie Blake Park, 212 Blake Ave., Sequim.

3) When two wolves of the Cottonwood Pack from Yellowstone were murdered
recently, Doug Smith suddenly realized the gravity
of the error of some of his decisions and thought.

http://cbs4denver.com/wireapnewswy/Yellowstone.biologist.says.2.1284705.html

However some have not. Check out what Ed Bangs,
notorious mass-murderer of wolves in the USFWS had
to say:

"It's not a big deal. Certainly from a research standpoint, you'd like them all to stay alive."

Would you want this person involved, even remotely
in wolf affairs? Hardly.

Especially when 3 wolves have been poached. And despite
all this, his cronies Mike Jimenez of the state of Wyoming's
Game and Fish supports the hunt and so does Carolyn sime of
Montana FWP.

http://www.missoulian.com/news/local/article_15989c18-c6a1-11de-93ff-001cc4c002e0.html

And 12 wolves were shot to death in southern Montana.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/greenspace/2009/10/wolf-hunt-suspended-in-southern-montana.html

At the rate this is going, it wouldn't be surprising if Judge Molloy
relisted the wolves once he pacified hunters and ranchers who hate wolves
somewhat. Which would be business as usual.

Please help stop the hunts at:

4) Don't think that wolves are safe even as far as in Sweden.
It's been a hotbed for hunts and livestock shooting of wolves.
Another hunt may happen, and it could be in Skåne. Livestock
issues haven't been prevented in Sweden through the use of
Non-Lethal Methods and PF Ranching. We have told the Swedish
Government about these, and they just seem to just keep ignoring it,
like most agencies.

Until this happens, the call for slaughter will just keep going.

5) If you live near the New York area, on November 21st, at the
Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, there will be a special event
at the Wildlife Education Center (25 Bouldevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson).
It's called "Meet Atka, a Live Gray Wolf!" at 4 and 5:30p.

Tickets are for members:  $18 for adults, $12 for agest 12 and younger.
    for non-members: $22, $16 age 12 and younger.

Seats are limited and you have to prepay, so RSVP now! It's indoors and children
have to have adults with them.

Here is the number to pre-pay: 534-5506, ext. 204

6) Lastly, another study shows once again that livestock issues are rare
and wolves prefer their natural prey. A study confirms it the Iberian
Peninsula in Spain.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/10/091023104702.htm

Again, the whole issue over wolves getting delisted, tortured, shot, killed
is over political issues and special interests that are a bad influence.
Thus, as science proves our point, this is wrong. Period. We need to learn
to live with wolves. Not the other way around of oppression, slaughter,
and violence, which people are perpetuating once again. All around the
world, special interests dominate, reason, and science that backs it up.

Oh yeah, wolves need to be top predator in their ecosystems. Want to know
why? We already know they control how much prey is in their environment,
so they don't destroy the landscape. Well guess what, the prey's corpses
actually PROVIDE nutrition for plant life to grow.

John Muir said that anything picked apart shows it is connected to something
else (Don't start me on the Six Degrees of Bacon, it doesn't count here..
oh wait, it does...). Here is more proof of that. So if any hunter says
that wolves decimate their populations, well here is more proof that they
don't. They can't because if they do, not only would they starve, but so
would the whole ecosystem, and from and ecological standpoint, that wouldn't
make sense.

Until next time folks, stay tuned. And please act on these action alerts.

costs money.

There are CDs on the website as well. If you wish to buy one, send us

HOWO ALERTS FOR 10/27/2009

HEART OF THE WOLF ORGANIZATION NEWS 11/3/2009

There is alot of news going on. And most of it
isn't good as you can imagine.

1) The Wisconsin DNR is trying to get people to
volunteer to find out how many wolves and carnivores
are out there.

http://www.fox6now.com/news/sns-ap-wi--wolfwatchers,0,839383.story

Got to wonder why when they want wolves delisted
so they can be shot in livestock issues and by
other parties.

http://www.fox21online.com/news/federal-official-wants-states-manage-grey-
wolves

Again, the classic example of of representative democracy at work.

Don't fall for it folks. Do not join their efforts
to track down wolves they will end up signing death
warrants to.

2) Wolves may soon return to the North Olympic
Peninsula of Washington State. However there
is a plan being created for management purposes.
