2) In Minnesota, hunters are attempting to get
wolves taken off of the ESA.

They are beginning to organize meetings and although they
aren't knowledgeable in the ways of the wolf or have
any real background with them, they claim they
are a threat to deer populations and the hunters being
able to hunt them.

Greed, and the fact that hunters want to hunt every deer
rather than realize that wolves hunt for food but don't
decimate their entire prey base is what's going on here.

Don't dismiss this either. This is because Obama (the recent
Nobel Prize winner who defended war) supports
sport hunters. And he originally didn't mind having Ken
Salazar on board as Secretary of the Interior who delisted
wolves which would allow them to be hunted.

This is going entirely in the wrong direction.

3) Germany so far has the right track in the terms of
wolf reintroduction. Something the world needs to follow.

Their model in Germany
is funding for livestock owners who want to use special fences, huts
and dogs to protect their herds.

It is used to cover damages to livestock and to prevent
the destruction of wolves.

Isn't this is what is missing everywhere else in the world?

Earmarks are seen as devilish and evil, yet, in this case it
is used to protect not only livestock but also wolves, which
the last time we checked, hardly any government in terms of
wolf policy uses.

Ultimately the end work now is dealing with the continued unjust
fear of them, and poaching that continues in Germany.

This tale is fascinating because furthermore the state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
shares livestock with wolves, covering the cost.

It's not unlike a legend talked about in the book, The Philosopher
and the Wolf by Mark Rowlands, where Saint Francis made a deal to
a wolf, where both species could live in peace if they would provide livestock
for it for the rest of the wolf's life. The wolf agreed and the
conflict was over. This is exactly the example that needs to
be followed in the world. Share and share alike, not greed.

4) A new type of tapeworm has been found with wolves as of late.

5) Lastly, the Mexican Gray Wolf 'Recovery' program has been
restarted. We hope the program actually has something going for
it. But we are highly skeptical as usual. Defenders who
has a spotty record because they are on and off as
far as supporting wolves had something disturbing to say.
Where wolves have been delisted illegally, hunted in hunts,
slaughtered in livestock issues since they have been delisted
in the Northern Rockies, Defenders' Eva Sargent (eva.sargent@defenders.org)
SW program director had this to say:

“If they can successfully reintroduce wolves to the wild in the
Northern Rockies, we can definitely do the same in the Southern Rockies.”

I mean I suppose it's great that Defenders occasionally does something
great for the wolf, but if they continue their hypocritical
stances, it is a very dangerous precent indeed.

1) Range Magazine, winter of 2010 issue in this three part series
has launched an all-out attack against wolves, activists, and more.

The next article which we are going to talk about a brief article
called 'The Way I See It', by Larry M. Tobin.

In this article he 'claims' to not be anti-wolf, but it's coded language
for the fact that he is.

He thrashes who supports wolves and people that read actual factual
information about them and watch factual based programs on public
television. You know, that type of television, instead of false reality
tv programming, or certain newsstations that think Global Warming is
fiction.

He spreads tales of fear and mayhem: child could be
eaten, wolves could attack your dog, or hunters who
shouldn't be hunting elk being followed out of the
wolf's territory by wolves.

He claims that wolves aren't fearful of man. He also wants people
to see what happens in livestock issues so people will see what things
really are.

Ok, well why don't we show what the inside of a slaughterhouse
is like Tobin.

Which is more horrific?

And to be more specific, do wolves really kidnap children and eat
them? No.

Want to know who does? Kidnappers.

And guess what, here are facts from the U.S. Department of Justice:

797,500 children (younger than 18) were reported missing in a one-year period
of time studied resulting in an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.

203,900 children were the victims of family abductions.

58,200 children were the victims of non-family abductions.

115 children were the victims of “stereotypical” kidnapping.
(These crimes involve someone the child does not know or someone
of slight acquaintance, who holds the child overnight, transports
the child 50 miles or more, kills the child, demands ransom, or intends
to keep the child permanently.)

Who is more of a threat Mr. Tobin?

Not the wolf. As long as we have articles like this, and not education
and the lack of proliferation of non-lethal methods and Predator Friendly
Ranching, these lies will continue. Fear will be generated and hatred will
continue.

1) Carolyn Sime, the killer of many wolves who
is in charge of the Montana FWP wolf program
recently called the hunt up there a 'success'.

And as we predicted, no one will be satisfied.

The ranchers who hate wolves want more dead. Hunters
want more wolves to be hunted. And those who rightly
support wolves will not want them to be hunted.

What should officials like Sime actually read and
listen to over and over again? Maybe this quote right
here:

'The choice today is no longer between violence and nonviolence. It is either
nonviolence or nonexistence.' -- Martin Luther King

And it gets worse because Molloy will relist the wolves
and may very well delist them again like he already has
done. Then the process will start over.
