“Evil, Nicole, is also unrelenting in its pursuits.” - Detective Robert Goren from Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Magnus Kristofferson, of Swedens EPA is responsible in the horrible death of a Wolf. The Wolf was shot in a village, in the stomach, and traveled 75 meters before dying. Killing wild animals is just heinous as killing innocent humans. Not only that, but getting shot in the stomach is one of the most painful ways to die.
As a result, contacting Kristofferson and voicing your outrage against this violent death is paramount. Especially since ineffective non lethal methods were used. So please send your comments to:

Please also protest the use of the corpse of this tradgedy in the Swedish Museum of Natural History. It's bad enough for the Wolf to have died tragically, it is another to parade this Wolf's corpse on display in a museum. You sure wouldn't see this happen to a cancer patients death, for instance..

THE WOLF IS DEAD - VILLAGERS RELIEVED
Strömsund. Thursday morning around 02:00, the wolf in Ringvattnet was
shot. It was shot inside the village within the area approved by
Naturvårdsverket ("Environmental Protection Agency") for the hunt.
- This has happened in complete accordance with the rules established
for the hunt. A part of the village was defined and if the wolf was
within that area it could be shot, says Magnus Kristoffersson,
responsible for predators at the country government board.
The wolf was shot from within a home when it was 100 meters from the
house. Afterwards, it ran 75 meters before it fell to the ground,
dead.
- For me this is very divided. The citizenss in the village has felt
great unease, which motivated the hunt. At the same time this wolf
would have had a very large impact on the Swedish wolf population.
The body is now to be thoroughly examined by a vet and then be
transported to Naturhistoriska riksmuseet [the national museum of
science].
Strömsund municipaly has through its member Lennart Oscarsson made
it known that they would like to borrow the animal if the body is
stuffed, a request the museum will have to consider if it is.
It waas more than two months ago the wolf appeared, having
immigrated from the east. It has killed both a dog as well as several
reindeer in the area.
A long line of attempts has been made to scare the wolf away, but
everything has failed. On February 14, Naturvårdsverket decided that
the wolf may be shot under certain circumstances, which is what has
happened.
* But if this animal was so important for the Swedish wolf
population, would it not have been better to relocate it and hope that
it would have been able to make it somewhere else?
- For me that feels like an unnatural move,, it would be involving
ourselves in nature in a wrong way.
- It is possible that the citizens of Ringvvattnet would have
appreciated a relocation, but humans in the area where it would have
been moved might not have been happy about it at all. So I do not
think that is a solution, says Magnus Kristoffersson.

Thanks Michael [Kjorling].
The photo looks like the anmimal has been covered with snow where the
bullet
could have hit it. Which means that they shot him in the stomach,
that's why
he was able to run so far. This must have been an extremely painful and
crucial death. Very upsetting.
